Much like his sister Michele, Attorney Marc P. Garza first sparked an interest in the law while working and helping out around his father's law office as a child. Marc always looked up to his father and was able to witness first-hand the difference that his father made in the lives of those in need in his community. Although born in San Antonio, Marc and his family relocated to the Dallas area when he was just two years old. Growing up in the Dallas area, Marc learned to love the cultural diversity and unique history of one of Texas's largest cities. Despite his love for the city, Marc decided to venture off on his own for college, choosing to attend Texas A&M, where he would go on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2000.
Shortly after graduating, Marc knew that he wanted to follow in the footsteps of both his sister and his father by pursuing a career in law. He was quickly accepted into the South Texas College of Law, where he would work tirelessly to earn his law degree. Thanks to a tireless work ethic, Marc was able to receive his law license the same year that he graduated, in 2004.
After spending a year working at the Texas Workforce Commission, Marc quickly realized that he didn't have much of a desire to be an employee at a larger firm. He believed that entering into private practice on his own would provide him with the flexibility and control over his casework that he would need to better serve his clients. With a desire to focus on family law, Marc knew that he would need a level of independence to be able to provide his clients with the kind of personalized, one-on-one attention that sensitive family law matters often require.
"Legal issues with family can take an emotional toll. My job is to help you through this difficult time so you can focus on what’s important — your family."
After a few years of working in private practice, Marc discovered that his sister Michele would be returning to the area to also work within the realm of family law. In 2011, they decided to launch the Garza Law Firm, LLLP so that, together, Marc and his sister could begin to give back to the community that helped them both achieve so much.
Since the firm opened, Marc has dedicated his time to all areas surrounding family law, with a particular interest in casework involving complex property issues. As someone who understands the importance of family, Marc has dedicated his professional career to helping his clients in matters of divorce, child support, child custody disputes, adoption services, paternity matters, and more.
After almost 10 years of working with his sister at the Garza Law Firm, Marc remains just as passionate and committed to his clients as he was on his first day of law school. He understands the sensitive and emotional nature of family matters and believes that these cases are best resolved through cooperation and communication. Through it all, Marc is committed to representing his client's best interests and will work hard to provide them with a sense of relief so that they can work toward a peaceful resolution and begin to move forward with their family.
Marc was born in San Antonio but grew up in Dallas and graduated from Greenhill School in 1996. He is a parishioner at All Saints Catholic Church and an active member of the Knights of Columbus.
